New Features
- Automatically generate an invoice for a BigCommerce order with online payment method.
- Allow system to automatically generate an invoice for a BigCommerce order with offline payment method (configurable in IP setting).
- Automatically email invoice to customer when creating an invoice from the Invoice Portal’s Order Dashboard.
- Allow customers to export invoices as a PDF file.
- Allow customers to print invoices.
- Allow users to manually email invoices to customers.
- Incorrect invoice due date.
- Incorrect invoice discount amount shown in storefront.
All BigCommerce orders with an online payment method will automatically generate an invoice with a “complete” status. Customers have full visibility of their invoice history in the storefront, including the following invoices:
- “Complete”: Fully paid invoices have a “complete” status. Customers can view the invoice details and print invoices but are not able to make payments against these invoices.
- “Open”: For “open” invoices, customers can make online payments against these invoices.
- “Partially Paid”: For “partially paid” invoices, customers can continue to make online payments against these invoices.
Allow System to Automatically Generate Invoice for a BigCommerce Order with Offline Payment Method
A configurable setting has been added, which allows you to enable or disable the ability for the system to automatically generate invoices for BigCommerce orders with an offline payment method.
If this setting is enabled, all BigCommerce orders with an offline payment will have invoices automatically generated with an “open” status.
Email Invoice to Customer when Creating an Invoice
An email template setting has been added, which allows users to configure the email template.
When a user clicks on the “create invoice” button from the order dashboard, an automatic email is sent to the customer based on the email template.
Export Invoice as a PDF File, Print & Manually Email to Customer
Users can print invoices and export invoices as a PDF from the invoice portal back-end. Customers can print and export invoices from the storefront.
Invoice Portal back-end users can email invoices to customers to remind them of an open invoice. The invoice format is configured in the email template.
