Checkout Settings

The addition of the Checkout Settings allows merchants to have more flexibility with different customer restrictions, such as disabling the ability to enter a new billing and/or shipping address and having the option to then save these new addresses.

Additionally, merchants can modify the name of the Extra Text Field Label located within the Purchase Order Payment Method.

Lastly, merchants have the ability to add an Additional Text Field if they need to gather additional purchase information from customers. This new field will be stored in the ‘order comments’ section within the BigCommerce Admin Portal > Orders > Order Detail Page

Enable/Disable Different Checkout Settings

• Shipping
• Allow customers to enter a new address for billing
• Allow customer to select “Save this address in my address book”
• Allow customer to select “My billing address is the same as my shipping address”

• Billing
• Allow customers to enter a new address for shipping
• Allow customer to select “Save this address in my address book”
